Waverly Auction Visit Cancelled

Here's an excerpt from the letter sent by Monika Schiavo, the director of Waverly:

Keep in mind that our higher-end Catalog auction will take place on November 21 and we will be in preview the week before, so they can also come back then and see some really neat stuff (the technical term for interesting catalog items) as well as maps and fine autographs.  In November we will have about 450 lots so the auction will start at 6:00 but won't finish until 10:00 PM.  And I would be more than happy to have them come in between auctions to see how we handle the books from client intake to buyer and have them talk to Josh Dunn, our lead cataloger.

For a number of reasons, I have cancelled the optional trip to Waverly Rare Books this afternoon. As promised, class will end around 5:00 (we probably won't take a break, so bring your coffee if you need it). For that final hour from 5:00 to 6:00, I'll be available for consultation about your seminar papers. Even though I won't be going to Waverley, if you want to make the trek, Monika says you're welcome to come on out. Directions and information about tonight's shelf lot sale can be found here: catalogue
