Some of your classmates pointed out that the Hathitrust platform doesn't allow for full PDF downloads to people without partner credentials. I always prefer Hathitrust to GoogleBooks for somewhat obvious bibliographic reasons. However, the Hathitrust scan originates from Google. It's all kind of confusing.
Here is the link to the GoogleBooks scan: The Eighteen-Nineties. Click on the "Free E-book" button on the top left, and choose your preferred download format. I also dropped a PDF of it in the "Revival of Printing" folder on GoogleDocs: Revival of Printing GoogleDocs Folder.
Spend some time navigating both the Hathitrust and GoogleBooks sites. These are powerful (though not infallible) research tools.
REQUIRED READING: Jackson's "The Eighteen-Nineties," Chapters I, XIX, and XXI.
SUPPLEMENTARY READING: The other essays in the folder, including my dissertation chapter.
