Aldus: Festina Lente
The image above is taken from the decoration in the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress. Take note of the wonderfully irregular hand-lettering. Aldus's device (sometimes called a printer's mark) is without question the most famous from the early modern period or any period. Read more about it here.
