out both the timeline and also the keyword search terms. The
book-length essay is also really good (I haven't read the whole thing,
just parts of it).
Spend some time browsing. This might be a great "idea-bank" for discovering the topic of your seminar paper. Find something that fascinates you and dig into the reasearch.
For those of you who have the time or inclination, read for next week's class (September 19) the entries between 1400 and 1450.
