Medieval Follow-Up

Keith Ward, our visiting scholar from last week, wrote the other day with this message:

Hi, Casey! Sorry I've lost track of time. Here are some goodies:

Maps: http://www.henry-davis.com/MAPS/carto.html (this guy's collection is better than most universities' whiz-bang "digital humanities" projects). You kind of have to do your own quick research to know what you're looking at, but that's half the fun. T-O maps and the mappae mundi may be the ones most interesting to your students.

Brian Stock, The Implications of Literacy ISBN-13: 978-0691102276 (most libraries own this book).

The classic: M.T. Clanchy, From Memory to Written Record ISBN-13: 978-0631168577

Digital Arthurian book-flipping from the BN: http://expositions.bnf.fr/arthur/livres/index.htm (the French is actually pretty easy to scan even for those without much French!)
