Book History Trip to Delaware!

Next Thursday, November 19, we have a kind invitation from Mr. Mark Samuels Lasner to have a private view of his collection at the University of Delaware. His collection of late Victorian books, manuscripts, and ephemera is in many respects unparalleled:  The Mark Samuels Lasner Collection

Seating is extremely limited in my car. Because I'll be dropping Mark off on the way back (to a meeting of the Baltimore Bibliophiles), I only have space for one or maybe two other students besides Mariana. If more people are interested, maybe we can find a second driver. The trip takes a little over two hours. The plan is to leave DC at 9:30 sharp from a convenient spot, arrive in Delaware around noon, and head back to DC around 3:30 or 4. Even though there's a lot of driving, I promise that the pay-off will be worth it.

The seats in my car will be reserved on a "first-come first-served" basis. Make your reservation in the comments section below or send me an email at csmith@corcoran.org

  1. I'd like to come, if there's enough room. (Assuming Kerry's class next Friday isn't until the evening, as I have written down, in which case I can move my work schedule around.)
